Many women also cannot deal with being second, even if it is for a few hours a week.
And God forbid, you get any female attention before, during or after the show. Musicians seemto be stereotyped as a bunch of alkies and druggies, which might be a turn off to some.
In the past, people were lucky to find a few people nearby who might share the same interests, and maybe there were enough to form a club that would meet once a week, or once a month.
Now, within seconds, you can connect with huge numbers of people who share very specific interests. There are a number of options within Music Passions to help connect members, including the following: Music ‘Groups’ allow members to find others who share very specific interests / similarities.
I quess these woman don't know that studio musicans make between 100 to 1500.00 per song sometimes as short as an hours work. Bill Hmmmmmmmmm - no dates because you are a musician???
LOL - I am caught in the same trap here - I am a musician and also a DJ/Karaoke DJ as well - I do spend a lot of time behind either a DJ booth or sound mixing board - I come to work by myself and leave by myself - even though I am single and available I am typecast all the time - seems like no one (female) would like to get closer to me - seems like work is always in the way for them - I am on a different time schedule than most people but am willing to give more time than most people with a 40/hr job - I do have 2 nites off per week that are spent usually at home chilling out - I would love nothing more than being able to take a lady to lunch and being able to spend time with her - but again, because I am a musician, I am typecast as high maintenance, egocentric, dull attitude, etc, etc, etc - c'mon ladies - give us a chance - you might just find a real person that is honest, caring, faithful - what do you think???
You Only Live Once…So Live Strong, Live Deeply, Live Passionately!
Music Passions gives people who are part of the Music community a place to find one another.
I think most women want to be the persued object (and even just a little) the band thing juxtaposes that.

While I am doing the music, I don't know that I can have a relationship. For many of us, it is a passion that burns as brightly as the type of passion you have for person/lover. But you usually play in bars where people drink and get amorous and hey, you are "in the band". a committed musician at times does not have a lot of free time. when the musicians away..........of my musician friends are happily married....biggest complaint from the spouse is all the time on the road, but if the trust is there profession shouldn't matter.....dating a musicain..problem....
While everything rockandroller said is 100% correct, many women still have thoughts of a non-stop Behind the Music Episode going in their heads. we do play out, and the strongest thing any of us puts in our system is coffee. But its also a 2 way street on sacrifice, as if the musician really cares about who hes (or shes) with, and that person is willing to accept it, then things can work out.
But if you’re just doing it for fun, it shouldn't be that difficult to maintain a good relationship... Allgood I'm thinkin this is just some lame a$$ed excuse not to date you.
